Who Ofsted are and Why It Matters

Ofsted (the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills) is the independent body that inspects and regulates childcare and education settings in England. They visit our setting regularly to check that we are providing safe, high‑quality care and learning for every child. For parents and carers, this offers clear reassurance that an external, professional organisation is monitoring what we do and how well we do it.

During inspections, Ofsted looks closely at the quality of care children receive, how well we safeguard them, and the overall learning environment we provide. Inspectors also review our leadership and management, including staff training, policies, and how we work in partnership with families.
