Our Playrooms: A Journey Through Development

Our nursery is thoughtfully organised into playrooms that reflect how children grow and develop, rather than simply their age. We understand that every child's journey is unique, so children move through our spaces as they are ready — emotionally, socially, and developmentally — supported by nurturing adults who know them well.

Each playroom is designed as a rich, calm environment where children feel safe, confident, and curious. Across the nursery, language, relationships, and play are at the heart of everything we do, helping children build strong foundations for learning, wellbeing, and belonging.

The Baby Lounge

The Baby Lounge is a warm, nurturing space where our youngest children build secure attachments and begin their journey as confident communicators. Here, adults respond sensitively to babies' cues, using calm, reassuring voices and gentle routines to support emotional security and early language development.

Babies explore through their senses, enjoy cosy shared moments with books, and experience the world at a pace that feels safe and predictable. Our focus in Baby Lounge is on connection, trust, and helping babies learn that communication is meaningful and valued

The Toddler Lounge

In this room, toddlers begin to discover themselves as independent individuals. This is a lively, language-rich space where children are supported to express feelings, make choices, and explore their growing curiosity about the world.

Adults model and extend language, support children through big emotions, and use stories, songs, and play to help toddlers make sense of their experiences. Children are encouraged to try things for themselves while knowing there is always an adult close by to guide and reassure.

Kindergarten Two

The KG2 Room is where children's thinking, collaboration and curiosity really begin to flourish.

Children engage in longer periods of play, ask questions, explore ideas and learn alongside their peers through shared projects and experiences.

Adults act as thinking partners, encouraging children to explain their ideas, use rich language and revisit learning over time. Books, outdoor learning, forest school and practical experiences all support children as they deepen their understanding and confidence as learners.

Kindergarten One

Room supports children in their final nursery year as they grow into confident, capable, and reflective learners. Children are encouraged to take responsibility, lead their learning, support one another and use language to plan, explain, and reflect.

Through storytelling, problem-solving, outdoor challenges and meaningful projects, children develop independence, resilience and a strong sense of self. Our aim is for children to leave us feeling confident in who they are, ready for school and excited about learning.
